Custodian

Department: TOC Administration
Location: Charlotte, MI

Team One Chevrolet Buick, GMC Truck of Charlotte, Michigan is in search for an energetic, detail oriented person to join our team in a Custodian position!

Schedule

Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm / No Weekends!

Pay is negotiable, depending on experience, and ability to perform tasks! Starting at $15+ per hour.

Job Title: Custodian
SUMMARY
Maintains a safe, clean working environment for all dealership employees and customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Cleans all areas including sales, service, parts, administrative, restrooms, and customer areas.
Washes all windows, glass doors and glass panels throughout the dealership as needed between visits from the window washing vendor.
Mops, vacuums, and cleans dealership areas as assigned.
Cleans all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and vending machines.
Maintains hot beverage areas by cleaning counter surfaces.
Cleans bathrooms and restocks paper, linen, and soap supplies as needed.
Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, inside and outside.
Removes all debris from lot.
Maintains cleaning supplies.
Understands and complies with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state, and local regulations.
Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
